Dear Prospective Priory Parents and Pupils:

Thank you for visiting our Priory web site in your prospecting for just the right school. By using this site, you may find that you have struck gold and found the right place to be for six strenuous and exciting years of physical, intellectual and spiritual growth.

Priory is a unique school, and a very special place... just like your home. And so we consider our community of students, faculty, monks, alumni and benefactors a family... the Priory Family. Just as a family raises children for life, we educate for life, following the Rule of Saint Benedict. As a school of the Lord’s service, we seek to develop in our students a love of God through their broad studies and activities, as well as strong character, trust, concern, and care for each other. The friendships formed here last for life.

This involves a rigorous academic and athletic program as we educate the mind, body and spirit. Getting ready for life is a strenuous and exciting business. As students progress through our program, they take recognized Advanced Placement courses in more significant numbers than most other comparable schools, and they ultimately find their place in America’s best and most competitive colleges and universities.

But what brings our special philosophy of education and our program to reality is our special people. We have a higher percentage of dedicated religious on our faculty than any other local boys school; 85 percent of our faculty have advanced degrees. We have many wise teachers who have been here 25 years or more, and many enthusiastic young teachers, some of whom are alumni of the school. They love their subjects, they love teaching, and they love their students.
